After finishing her postdoc at UC San Francisco Priya S. Shah will arrive as new assistant professor in summer 2017. She will be 2/3 in Chemical Engineering and 1/3 in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. Her research uses systems and synthetic biology approaches to study how cellular networks respond to changes in their environment. She uses high throughput proteomics and genomics to understand how pathogens can hijack host networks for their own advantage, and synthetic biology to engineer controls over these networks for biotechnology and biomedical applications.
