Annual Advising Requirement

Annual Advising in Chemical Engineering

We Advise, You Decide

Advising is a partnership. Your advising team is dedicated your academic success and are here to support you in achieving your academic, career, and personal goals. But ultimately, your success requires you to be an active participant in the advising process. To get the most out of advising, be sure you are ready to engage in a conversation and come prepared with questions. Remember, this is your education and it's your responsibility to take ownership for it.

Below you will find information on how to satisfy your Chemical/Biochemical Engineering Annual Advising Requirement for the 2025-2026 academic year. If you have a hold for Fall 2025, please schedule an advising appointment or email chmsugadvising@ucdavis.edu

Failure to meet your Annual Advising Requirement by the end of the Winter quarter will result in a Fall registration hold for the following Fall quarter.

To meet your annual advising requirement you must:

Step 1:

Complete the CHMS Advising Contract by the end of week 1 of the Fall quarter (if already completed, do not re-submit).

We understand your schedule can change, if you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, please cancel it or email chmsugadvising@ucdavis.edu to allow other students to utilize that appointment slot.
  • Submit an academic plan for review on OASIS (graduating seniors only)

    • If the intended major offers Change of Major sessions, attend one of their sessions and forward confirmation of attendance to chmsugadvising@ucdavis.edu
