- Senior Design Awards
- The best senior design will receive an award and is recognized at the senior send-off celebration at the end of spring quarter.
- Outstanding Senior Award
- Awardees should be someone who has made an outstanding contribution to the learning environment through active academic engagement, whether through involvement in a research group or creative production, significant contributions to classroom discussion, and/or leadership in student groups committed to the advancement of learning.1. Excellent academic achievement – recommended GPA of 3.25 and higher2. Outstanding and active involvement with faculty and fellow students3. Demonstrated leadership within or beyond the department4. Graduated or anticipated graduation within the specific academic year, including summer.
Designated awardees will be recognized at a college awards ceremony towards the end of spring quarter and via college news.

The Department Citations are reserved for students of true distinction and given for excellence in the department or major program. Students need to maintain a grade point average of at least a 3.6 in courses given by the department or major program, work outside the major may also be a factor in selecting the recipients. Activity relating to the work of the major or department, such as writing, experimentation, or creative work in the field will be considered. Eligible students are those who graduated or have an anticipated graduation within the specific academic year, including summer.

Current Student Scholarships
- AMPAC - Undergraduate Research Internship
Three (3) undergraduate research internships with stipends of up to $6000 (paid across July, August, and September in equal payments) with an additional $500 for a final report (4-10 Pages) are being generously supported by AMPAC fine chemicals (https://ampacfinechemicals.com/) on any research topic (in consultation with your faculty mentor) each academic summer.
Requirements:
1. Must be able to commit to research in Summer, hours in consultation with your faculty member.
2. Must present research during the following fall at the research symposium.
3. Your application should consist of a maximum 2 page document detailing your research project, previous experience, and what you hope to attain through the internship. In addition, your faculty mentor should submit a maximum 1 page supporting letter.
The call for applications will be sent out around March each year.- Alan Jackman Scholarship Fund
- Criteria: Chemical Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering Student, with a minimum 3.25 GPA, and 1 Letter of Recommendation.

- Criteria: Recipient chosen based on the basis of academic merit of at least a 3.25 GPA, is a junior or senior in the Chemical Engineering program who has completed of one or more courses with a business orientation, and submits 1 Letter of Recommendation.

- Criteria: Student(s) enrolled and majoring in the Department of Chemical Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering that participate in the UC Davis Education Abroad Program (during the following summer or academic year) with minimum 3.25 GPA, and 1 Letter of Recommendation.
Submission of a one-page response answering the following question:
1 Please describe where you plan to go, for how long, and which courses you plan to take while abroad.
2 How will this experience improve your educational experience here at UC Davis?
3 How will this experience advance your academic and professional goals?
4 Do you plan to engage in a hands-on experience or research while abroad?

Incoming Student Scholarships
- Prospective and Entering Student Scholarship Application Process
The UC Application for Admission and Scholarships serves as your application for campus-based scholarships at UC Davis. Incoming applications must be completed by early December. A minimum 3.25 GPA is required for all applicants for our UC Davis-based scholarships. Be sure to read all instructions pertaining to scholarships when completing the application, paying particular attention to the restricted scholarship eligibility codes.
Unless specifically requested of you, no additional information will be needed to be considered for the Financial Aid and Scholarships awards.
